$31,800.00
$39,900.00
Conceived by legendary French designer Alain Silberstein, this timepiece explores a marine-themed visual language inspired by primary colors, geometric shapes, and nautical elements. Powered by YEMA's in-house micro-rotor (pearl rotor) CMM.20 movement and housed in a black DLC Grade 5 titanium case, it perfectly blends mechanical precision with artistic expression, presenting a distinct graphic aesthetic.
Alain Silberstein, known for integrating unique artistic language into watchmaking, meticulously crafted this dial using colors, shapes, and marine symbols. On the dial, the red hour hand shaped like a buoy, the light blue minute hand, and the anchor-shaped yellow seconds hand collectively imbue the watch with a rich maritime flair. The deep blue grainy dial evokes a sandy surface, while its blue hues pay homage to the navigators and the marine world that inspired this watch's design.
Alain Silberstein strategically placed signal flags representing the letters Y, E, M, and A at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions, respectively. These signal flags are not merely decorative accents; they imbue the dial with a unique nautical identity and reinforce the concept that each element serves as both a functional marker and a symbolic emblem.
Here's a breakdown of their corresponding meanings:
- The yellow and red diagonally striped flag for Y (Yankee) at 12 o'clock means "I am dragging my anchor" or simply represents the letter Y.
- The tricolor flag of white, blue, and red for E (Echo) at 3 o'clock means "I am altering my course to starboard" or represents the letter E.
- The blue flag with a white diagonal cross (St. Andrew's Cross) for M (Mike) at 6 o'clock means "My vessel is stopped and making no way through the water resistant" or represents the letter M.
- The swallow-tailed flag, half white and half blue, for A (Alpha) at 9 o'clock means "I have a diver down; keep well clear at slow speed" or represents the letter A.
