In 1973, a U.S. Navy DC-71 C117D crashed on the black sand beach of Sólheimássøndl on the southern coast of Iceland. Fortunately, all passengers and crew survived. Even today, the wreckage of the aircraft can still be seen on the beach, a testament to the power of human resilience. Inspired by this tragedy, OVD designed a meaningful watch that shows that even in the face of adversity, we have the strength to overcome and create something beautiful.
